A Calling?

Great Commission

Curtain call fade to black, memories of the dead awaken the souls of the bruised and beaten, bloody and damned. Their souls mourn in their suffering crying for a way out. They tear the flesh from their bodies devouring fast. Rabid eyes filled with the envy of the living. They reach out, but cannot feel. Blood flows from their fingers, flesh and blood clog the inside of their nails. They crawl on all fours trying to find a way out, but the way is shut, locked up, no long will it be opened for them to escape. No longer will their eyes taste the sweet marrow of light. They call out to our God and he turns away. They cry out in chorus hymn,"Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" A Latin song that sings, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” And he will look upon them with tears in his eyes, the hurt of his heart pushing them down his face whispering, “Depart from me, for I never knew you.” He will slowly turn and walk away and they will reach for the train of his robe, to be healed, to have a moment of joy is all they want, and they will never experience this.
We can't let this happen. WE have been called to spread the name of Jesus throughout the world. Consuming it's sinful nature like a wildfire consumes a forest.
Where have we been called? Where is this calling? We have been called to go throughout the world, that doesn't just mean out of the United States, much less, we don't even have to leave the streets we live on, but as long as we are fulfilling the Great Commission, then we are doing what we are suppose to do. The Great Commission is in Matthew 28 near the end of it. Here it is:
“And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
That's all it takes! All that it takes to become dangerous disciples! You've heard me use that phrase before, “dangerous disciples” Jon Randalls was a speaker I had the opportunity to hear at Super Summer one year, and that is what he was challenging us, through scripture to become. “What is in a man comes out of a man.” is what he said we he spoke out confrontation. When we see someone in the wrong and call them out, they will “ooze” as he put it, what is in their hearts. Dangerous disciples ooze Christ when confronted and “squeezed” by the world.

I asked last blog and I'm still hoping ya'll will do it, to ask yourselves, “Who is God to me?” and “Who am I to God?” Being an authentic, a true, a humble, full of humility, soul-saving dangerous disciple answers both of these questions. If you are a dangerous disciple our Savior, our Lord, our...daddy, is much more than a cool sounding name and guy in this book we call the Bible. He will be everything in your life. Going one day without spending time with him would drive you crazy that you would find yourself pulling an “all-nighter” reading His word, like you would study for a Chemistry exam in college. And to God, you would be his Job, his Paul, his David, the very one that he could look upon Satan and say, “Hey I know it's been a few thousand years since Job, but I think I've got another prospect for you to mess with. This one is for real. This one makes Job look frail and weak. But I tell you Satan this one is for real. This one will change the world, in my name, and no matter what you may throw their way, they will prevail. For this one is one my disciples, and guess what? They are dangerous, and you know this, you've seen, and this scares you. Be scared you pathetic dog, you run from this disciple like a dog runs with it's tail between its legs after getting whooped. For this reason you have thrown so much their way, and it hasn't worked, because when push comes to shove, they come home running like the prodigal son, looking for shelter in their father. That's me Satan, that's me. Test them. Test them. My dangerous disciples that I have just like this one, can overcome you and your fallen angels, for they know where their daddy is. And even if I take a step back and let bad things fall upon them, they will say, 'Every tear I've cried, you hold in your hand. You never left my side, and though my heart is torn, I will praise you in the storm.' Beat them Satan, test them and their faith in me, but remember, they're dangerous, and better yet, they're mine.”
Is that not amazing?! That is who you'll be to God if you just submit and choose to be dangerous. Choose to “light the way” for others. So if you choose to become that dangerous disciple of God, then those two questions will be answered that easily, in such an amazing way! Choose to be dangerous, and please, PLEASE answer these questions:
“Who is God to me?” and “Who am I to God?”

“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
-Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Oh man! That's incredibly powerful Jake. I just read this after listening to the Revelation Song by Gateway Worship. I'm in awe. God is doing so much in my life in ways that I can see, and only He knows how much more behind the scenes. Jake, we are special. God has called us to be. He has something in store for us. You and I are brothers. I'll always be there for you to lean on when you fall. I'll never give up, and I expect the same from you! We have to be there for each other. You and I both know how vulnerable we can be. Until we become consistent and walk closely with our Father, we can never know His will for us. Don't you want to know? I am dying to know. I can't wait to become the man I was meant to be, so that I might here the words "Well done!" on that day. I'm praying for you always Jake. Never forget that.
